Darren, the sole purpose of a primer is to ignite the gun powder. Therefore the Brisance rating is of no practical use to you. Unless you are constructing your loads at maximum powder capacity. The only way that I know would be to set up some loads with different primer brands and chronograph them to see if velocity changes dramatically.
